- Cynthia retired as a Director of Education, responsible of a school board in mid-Ontario.
- She has over 33 years experience in the public education system. She also taught and is teaching at the university level.
- Cynthia has a Master of Music, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Music.
- Cynthia also holds diplomas in Natural Nutrition and in Holistic Gerontology.
- Cynthia and her husband are qualified CAN-BIKE instructors. Together, they organize the annual event West Nipissing Cycle for Charity that attracts cyclists from Ontario and Quebec. This charity purchases bikes for under privilege youth.
- Cynthia is Certified as a Wedding Officiant, New Life Celebrant and Funeral Celebrant with Celebrating Life Ministries.
- Cynthia and her husband have been married for over 40 years and enjoy their three sons.
